How to Enquire/ Book With Melanie

All enquiries are to be directed to the weddings booking page. When filling out the booking form, please use as much detail as possible so I can get back to you promptly (I endeavour to respond to enquiries within 48 hours, Mondays through Thursdays however, during peak times, responses can take a few days). To avoid disappointment bookings should be made as early as possible.

Before you submit your enquiry, please ensure you have the following information:

• Date of wedding

• Location of where the bridal party are getting ready

• Location and time of wedding ceremony

• Number of people requiring makeup and who (e.g.1 bride, 3 bridesmaids, mother of bride) 

For my price list, please refer to the services page. Prices include premium quality individual lashes. Travel fees are determined based on the location of where the bridal party will be getting ready and will be provided upon enquiry.

Once your enquiry has been received, I will confirm my availability and provide a quote. From there, a booking fee will need to be paid to secure your date.

Booking Fees/ Payment

A booking fee is required to secure my services for your wedding date; booking fees are non-refundable and non-transferable unless specified. The booking fee is deducted from the total cost of my services. The remainder is then to be paid in full two weeks prior to the wedding date.

Travel

Makeup By Melanie offers travel to your getting ready location on the day (see below for more info). I am based in Perth, WA and am available to travel domestically (within WA and interstate) and internationally also. Please enquire through the weddings booking page and include as much detail as possible. Please note that travel outside of the Perth metro area has a different pricing structure and will be provided upon enquiry.

How many people can I book in?

I have a maximum of 5 people that I like to comfortably complete on my own. Therefore, if your booking is for more than 5 people, a second makeup artist will need to be involved. If this is the case, please complete the enquiry form and I will work to accommodate your request. 

A minimum booking of 3 people is required in order for me to travel to the location of the bridal party on Fridays - Sundays.

Do I Need a Trial?

Yes, I always recommend having a bridal trial as it is important that we have decided on the look you're wanting before your wedding day. Bridal trials are arranged after you have paid your booking fees and your wedding date has been secured. I usually recommend trying to book your trial for a date where you have an event such as your hens night or pre-wedding shoot.

If you are wanting a trial before you have confirmed my services (paid your booking fees), your wedding date will not be secured. Therefore, I recommend booking in for a trial ASAP. To do this, please complete the wedding enquiry form so that I can ensure I have availability for your wedding date. Once availability is confirmed for the wedding date, we can book in your trial.

All trials are completed at Makeup By Melanie’s location in Subiaco.

How long does the Makeup take on the day?

Generally, I allow approximately 1hour 10mins per makeup (around 1hr 20mins for the bride) and then additional time at the start for set up and end for touch ups, lip application and pack down. Timing may vary depending on number of faces and style of makeup.
