Additional Information.
For best makeup results please come with fresh cleansed and exfoliated skin - if your skin is dry feel free to apply your moisturiser/serum.
If you have very dry skin, I recommend performing a hydrating mask the night before/ before your appointment to boost hydration.
If you wear waterproof mascara normally please don't apply within 48 hours of your appointment or make sure it is fully removed before you have your makeup done; removing it takes valuable time away from your appointment and it is very difficult to take off.
I do not recommend having a lash lift prior to your makeup application. Lash lifts can make it very difficult for lashes to be applied and can affect the overall makeup look. If the lash lift is too curled lashes may not be able to be applied.
If you are having a tan I recommend not applying to your face - tan can go splotchy, settle into your pores, dry your skin out and may look uneven; I will apply foundation to match your tan colour.
If you have any facial piercings please remove these prior to your appointment if possible to make the application process quicker and easier. Also, ensure the area around the piercing is cleansed and exfoliated well - these areas of the face sometimes get a little neglected and can get a buildup of dead skin.
If you are bringing reference images to your appointment, please ensure you refer to images on my instagram page where possible, or of a similar style to my work.
For lip touch ups, it is easiest if you bring along your own lipstick options and I can see if the colours you have will work with the makeup look we have done. If none are a suitable match, I can provide you with a small lipstick sample and brush for re-application.
For oily skin, I can provide blotting sheets to take with you to absorb excess shine and keep your skin looking flawless.
I recommend wearing a shirt/top/dress to the appointment that can be easily removed without going over your head so as not to disturb the makeup. This is also useful if you have your hair already done, or getting it done after.
For bridal trials only:
If you are planning to have a tan on the day, I recommend coming to the trial with a tan on. Makeup can look quite different on your natural skin tone vs a tanned one and it can assist you in getting an idea of exactly how you will look on the wedding day.
I also recommend if possible, wearing a white/cream top/shirt/dress to the appointment; makeup will always look different depending on what colour you are wearing, on so it is best to wear a colour similar to your wedding dress to assist you in seeing how the makeup looks with that colour.
